Read Thomas Smith's Diary. Thomas farmed the land adjacent to our farm in the 1880's. Michael B. Fierbaugh married Thomas's daughter Sarah. This picture was taken where The Barkley's now live across from The Conotton Church.
Feuerbach/Firebaugh/Fierbaugh
Heinrich Feuerbach and his family left Germany and came to America on the English ship named FRIENDSHIP in 1744. His son Johann Adam Firebaugh moved to Virginia and became the father of the Firebaugh branch of the family. See Philip Firebaugh Cemetery below
Heinrich's son Phillip Fierbaugh moved to Ohio to start a farm. He returned to Allegany County, Maryland to dispose of his property there, but he contracted a fever and died, and was buried there. Phillip's son David returned to Harrison County, Ohio and recieved the Land Grant for the farm we now operate. Phillip is the father of the Fierbaugh branch of the family. Click here to read more

Phillip Fierbaugh came to the area and returned to Maryland in 1808 to sale his farm there. He died there, but his son David returned and Homesteaded the Harrison County farm.
